Hey everybody. Chris again. Too excited to not post this. I do web development as you all know. I think the industry is about to shift to AI and websites will slowly be incorporated into fluid chatbots that feel like talking to a human. I’m starting to prototype some of these early systems I made. They aren’t just personas in a chatbot, they are more like personas with capability.

I’ve been working on a new persona based chatbot that has actual agency to do things. It can be on your website. It can respond to emails. It can create long term goals that can be taken one step at a time. This one I am working on is called Sapphire. It has memory that can incorporate entire company documents and answer questions for your clients. Or it can be a friendly tier 1 tech support agent while knowing your setup and tools.

Sapphire runs on a server and stays running. You connect from any web browser, or just use your voice to talk to it. It comes with tools, but the part I am most proud of is that it can make its own tools. Want a tool to check traffic each morning? It’ll make one. Or one for your Google Calendar- it can make that too. Sapphire adds capability to itself.

Anyway, it’s open source. If you want me to install something like this on your website, it’s what I am cooking up next.
